About This Resource

“Live My Digital for Parents” is a 6-episode YouTube series created by Digital Awareness UK in collaboration with A Girls’ Day School Trust Production. The video series aims to educate and advise parents about different digital issues surrounding online safety, raising awareness of the dangers of digital technology. Parents will learn to recognize, understand and manage these problems with their children, creating a safe online environment.

In the fifth episode, Emma Robertson, Digital Awareness UK Co-founder, introduces the topic of “Security and Privacy” presenting the importance of protecting children’s internet safety and data protection. Tips and advice on safe internet security are provided to parents, preventing their children from becoming victims of cybercrimes. Examples such as strong passwords and parental controls are further recommended, maintaining safe online security for them. As children are more vulnerable to cyber security issues, parents should have the knowledge to help them use the internet safely.
