About This Resource
“Live My Digital for Parents” is a 6-episode YouTube series created by Digital Awareness UK in collaboration with A Girls’ Day School Trust Production. The video series aims to educate and advise parents about different digital issues surrounding online safety, raising awareness of the dangers of digital technology. Parents will learn to recognize, understand and manage these problems with their children, creating a safe online environment.
In the fourth episode, Emma Robertson, Digital Awareness UK Co-founder, introduces the topic of “Relationships and Grooming”, addressing the dangers of online grooming. Tips and advice are provided, helping parents identify the traits of online grooming as well as ways to prevent their children from getting victimized by strangers online. As online predators are active in all digital platforms, parents must be more wary of their children’s online interactions and protect them from getting exploited.
