About This Resource

“Live My Digital for Parents” is a 6-episode YouTube series created by Digital Awareness UK in collaboration with A Girls’ Day School Trust Production. The video series aims to educate and advise parents about different digital issues surrounding online safety, raising awareness of the dangers of digital technology. Parents will learn to recognize, understand and manage these problems with their children, creating a safe online environment.

In the second episode, Emma Robertson, Digital Awareness UK Co-founder, introduces the topic of “Digital Footprinting”, depicting the importance of managing the traces of children’s online activities. Tips and advice are further shared with parents, helping them learn new strategies to protect and clean their children’s footprints. As online data is constantly tracked and monitored, parents must be knowledgeable on the effects of digital footprinting and educate their children on the appropriate use of the internet.
