About This Course

In this course, you will explore various applications you can use as an educator to enhance and strengthen your students' learning experience. These applications include:

  • Book Creator:

In this application, students will have the opportunity to create their own books through the variety of functions that the application provides. These functions include enabling students to create their own stories through typing, drawing, and uploading videos, audio, and images. They will also be able to read books designed by their friends, expanding and furthering their knowledge through basic and guided comparisons.

  • Newsela:

Through this application, teachers will be assisted in choosing news articles that match their students' reading levels. Additionally, Newsela's articles also include questions and writing prompts that are aligned with the common core standards. This application is perfect for teachers who want to integrate actual ongoing events into their lesson plans.

  • Padlet:

The main function of this application is to serve as a community-centred virtual bulletin board where teachers, students, and other invitees can concomitantly create and post many formats of content in one place. Padlet is an exceptional tool for group projects centered on collaboration and cooperation, as it will allow its users to work on their specific tasks while also observing the changes and contributions made by other group members.

  • PicCollage:

PicCollage is an application that allows its users to create and design photo collages through the combination of photos, text, stickers, and drawings. The applications can also be used to create cards, invitations, posters, or even short animations through the utilisation of photos and GIFs.

  • Post-it:

The Post It application is a tool that enables its users to create digital notes on their devices or to capture handwritten notes with their devices' cameras. These notes can then be used to arrange, refine, or organise your ideas.
